Lília Felizardo

Lília is one of those creative people who seem to do everything right: from illustration, to food, to photography, there is nothing this girl can’t do and we at HAIK stories are very happy to call her our friend. We sat down with her a while back at the beautiful Botanical Garden in Porto and this is what we talked about.

What inspired you to create Eilid Studio?

What inspired me to create Eilid was the need to share my world and how I see it (spoiler alert: there are A LOT of flowers in my world :D).

It gives me great joy to know that there are completely random people in the world that have a piece of clothing with a print I made on it, or (more recently) that someone owns an illustration I created and, more importantly, that those things make them happy - this to me goes beyond the act of someone buying something from me; this is so much more than that, it’s about the emotional part of living a creative life.

Launching Eilid has been the beginning of something I feel I should have started a long time ago.

What is your favourite illustration?

It might be cliché but I don’t have an obvious favourite; I change how I draw a lot depending on the day’s mood, so I can be super minimal ou super detailed. These two are the ones that have survived my moods lately:

What is the next step for you?

The next step is to solidify Eilid as a brand and to finally carry out a specific project that I’ve been working on for a long time (it’s a secret for now :D).

I also want to make Eilid more personal, and connect it to other things I’m passionate about: flowers, photography and food. Stay tuned!

What have you been cooking non-stop this summer?

One of my favourite toasts! I love this chickpea toast for a quick and easy lunch, it’s light but so delicious!
